The Marine Drive is just one long car park from South bay to North Bay
You need to get there early to get a place close to the launch point
The launch
From your car drag your kayak to the slip way and a cross the beach
about 250 yards a low water
It is one of the top surf beaches in the UK so there could be a few big breakers to get over
They can give you a problem coming up to high water
As it gets down to low water on spring tides there are rocks just under the water
The Fishing
Great Cod and Pollack all around the bay
One of the best marks is the North East Corner of the Marine Drive about 300 to 500 yards off land
Drifting with Feathers, Jelly’s and Perks work well in summer bait fishing works all year round
