At last a chance to get out off Blackpool
I was hoping the cod where still there
It was a bit slow to start a few good Whiting and Dabs then the cod moved in
I hope you enjoy it

As a relative newcomer to sea fishing, but an experienced coarse angler, could I ask a question..... Would the use of larger hooks and baits reduce the number of undersized fish and increase that of larger specimens ? For instance, on my local river, if I fish a couple of maggots on an 18, I will catch lots of small fish and rarely anything larger, but a big bait and hook will rule them out and lead to much larger fish......

The best way I can answer this one is to say all sea fish have big mouths small fish can take big hooks I have had 2oz dabs on 0/6 hooks
